The roadmaps have been developed to help players quickly assess the history of the game, to identify trends and help to predict future results
Baccarat trends are recorded on “Roads”, which are pictorial representations of the results and trends of the shoe as hands have been dealt.
The roads help players to quickly assess the history of the game, identify trends and attempt to predict future results.
The roadmaps record the history and trends of the current dealing shoe.
A new set of roadmaps are created when a new dealing shoe is put into play.
Baccarat Roadmaps Types
Players can make use of five roadmaps. They are called the Big Road, Bead Plate, Big Eye Road, Small Road and Cockroach Road. The last three roadmaps are also known as derived roads and they are more complex than the Big Road and Bead Plate
Bead Plate
This roadmap simply shows the results (Banker Wins, Player Wins, Tie) of the previous rounds with icons arranged in a rectangular grid in a top-to-bottom, left-to-right fashion. Each icon corresponds to 1 previous round. That is, the icon for the 1st round is put on the top left corner, that for the 2nd round is on the one below it, and so on.
Each icon is a simple circle.
Banker Wins are shown in red, Player Wins are shown in blue, and Ties are shown in green.
Pairs are also shown on the icons. Banker Pairs are shown as a red dot placed on the top left corner of the icon; Player Pairs are shown as a blue dot placed on the lower right corner of the icon.
Big Road
This roadmap arranges the results in columns, or streaks. This allows easier counting of consecutive Wins and studying of trends.
The icons in this roadmap are shown as circles. Bankers are in red, Players are in blue.
Pairs are also shown on the icons. Banker Pairs are shown as a red dot placed on the top left corner of the icon; Player Pairs are shown as a blue dot placed on the lower right corner of the icon
Ties are NOT shown as a separate icon. Instead, they are shown as a green stripe, embedded inside the circle of the last round. If there are more than 1 consecutive Ties, the number of Ties will be written on the stripe in green as well.
In case the 1st round of the shoe is a tie, its icon will be a simple green stripe with no circles surrounding it. Again, if there are more than 1 consecutive Ties at the beginning of the shoe, the number of Ties will be written as well.
If the 1st round of the shoe is a tie and the 2nd round is a Banker, the red circle for Banker will be drawn in the same square as that of the green stripe for Tie. In other words, a Tie-Banker combination and a Banker-Tie combination at the beginning of a shoe is undistinguishable in this roadmap.
The icons are arranged such that the Banker and Player icons are arranged on separate columns, or streaks. Each time the result flips between Banker and Player, a new column is used.
Big Eye Road, Small Road , Cockroach Road
These 3 types of roadmaps are similar. The only differences among the 3 types are the Cycle (as explained below) and the icons used.

Big Eye Road
In the Big Eye Road table, blue and red are not associated with Player and Banker wins. It is useful in gauging how repetitive shoe is. Red entries are a sign of repetition, and the blue entries are a sign of a chaotic shoe. The first entry in the Big Eye Road table is the hand after the first entry in the second column of the Big Road, so that there is enough information to judge if a pattern is developing or not. Every entry in the Big Eye Road table, as well as the next two tables, will refer to a specific entry in the Big Road. Each entry in the Big Eye Road is recorded as follows:
(1) If the hand in question causes a new column in the Big Road, then compare the previous two columns in the Big Road. If they are the same in depth, then record a red circle in the Big Eye Road. If they are not, then record a blue circle.
(2) If the hand in question is the same outcome as the previous hand (skipping ties), then compare the cell to the left of the newly created entry in the Big Road with the cell directly above that one. If these two cells are the same, whether both Player, both Banker, or both blank; then mark a red in the Big Eye Road. Otherwise, mark a blue.
Small Road
The Small Road works exactly like the Big Eye Road, except it skips the column to the left of the current column in the Big Road. To have enough information to go on, the Small Road must wait until the entry after the first entry in the third column of the Big Road. Here is exactly how the Small Road is recorded.
(1) If the hand in question causes a new column in the Big Road, then compare the first and third columns to the left of the new column in the Big Road. If they are the same in depth, then record a red circle in the Small Road. If they are not, then record a blue circle.
(2) If the hand in question is the same outcome as the previous hand (skipping ties), then compare the cell two cells to the left of the newly created entry in the Big Road with the cell directly above that one. If these two cells are the same, whether both Player, both Banker, or both blank; then mark a red in the Small Road. Otherwise, mark a blue.
In other words, consider the latest entry in the Big Road. Then, move two cells to the left. Then, move up. If the move up does not result in a change, mark red, if it does, mark blue.
Cockroach Road
The Cockroach works exactly like the Small Road, except it skips two columns to the left of the current column in the Big Road. To have enough information to go on, the Cockroach Pig must wait until the entry after the first entry in the fourth column of the Big Road. Here is exactly how the Cockroach Pig is recorded.
(1) If the hand in question causes a new column in the Big Road then compare the first and fourth columns to the left of the new column in the Big Road. If they are the same in depth, then record a red circle in the Cockroach Pig. If they are not, then record a blue circle.
(2) If the hand in question is the same outcome as the previous hand (skipping ties), then compare the cell three cells to the left of the newly created entry in the Big Road with the cell directly above that one. If these two cells are the same, whether both Player, both Banker, or both blank; then mark a red in the Cockroach Pig. Otherwise, mark a blue.
In other words, consider the latest entry in the Big Road. Then, move three cells to the left. Then, move up. If the move up does not result in a change, mark red, if it does, mark blue.
